Planning

The chat, busy nights, nights off and leftovers.

  • Plan the week in the chat

Tap Let's Plan! on Home, answer a few quick questions about the week, and the chat puts your dinners up first. Then tell it what to change, typed or said, until the week looks right.

  • Give busy nights the fast dinners

Tell UnBizzy which evenings are packed, and it plans those nights for something on the table in about 20 minutes. Set it in Settings, then Your Current Week.

  • Take a night off, or order takeout

Mark the nights you're eating out or ordering in when you plan, or take a night off on the calendar later. A night off is a plan, not a gap. Nothing goes on the grocery list for it, and there's no reminder to start cooking.

  • Plan a leftovers night

On the planning form, turn on Leftovers night? and pick the day. Ask for a leftovers night when you plan, and it turns an earlier dinner into round two for the busy night.

  • Add breakfast and lunch to the week

Dinner comes first. If you want them, pick the days you need breakfast and lunch on the planning form, and UnBizzy plans those too, after the dinners.

  • Change or move a dinner

On the Calendar, tap the day. Then tap Change meal to pick something else from your cookbook, Move to put it on another day, or Ask me to ask the planner for something different.

  • Star a meal, or never see it again

Open a meal's card and tap Favorite to have it come up more often, or Never Again so it's never planned again. To bring one back, go to Settings, then Preferences Center, then Never Again.

  • Finalize the week

When the week looks right, finalize it. Tap the Finalize button under the chat, and UnBizzy puts the week on the calendar and builds your grocery list.

  • Get reminders for dinner and planning day

UnBizzy can send a nudge when it's time to start dinner, a morning brief with the day's meals, and a nudge on your planning day. Turn each one on or off in Settings, then Notifications.
