Plan a leftovers night

On the planning form, turn on Leftovers night? and pick the day. Ask for a leftovers night when you plan, and it turns an earlier dinner into round two for the busy night.

Steps

  1. On Quick setup for the week, find Leftovers night?
  2. Turn on Plan one automatically.
  3. Tap the day.
  4. Tap Start planning.

What you'll see

  • The leftovers night names the dinner it comes from, such as "Sunday's roast chicken".
  • On the day, Home says it's round two, with nothing to thaw and nothing to start.

Good to know

  • The leftovers always come from a dinner earlier in the same week, never a later one. If nothing earlier can feed it, the night just says Leftovers.
  • A leftovers night adds nothing to the grocery list, and there's no reminder to start cooking.
  • Next week's form starts with this week's answer. Turn it off if you don't want one.
  • Changed your mind on the calendar? Open the night and tap Change meal to cook something instead, or Cook it to leave the night open.
