Privacy Policy
UnBizzy is a family meal-planning app published by JCL Technologies LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the UnBizzy mobile app and the related website and services (together, the "Service"), how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. Questions go to support@unbizzy.com.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
The Service is provided by:
JCL Technologies LLC
a New York limited liability company
418 Broadway, Suite N
Albany, NY 12207, United States
Email: support@unbizzy.com
Support page: https://unbizzy.com/support.html
JCL Technologies LLC is the "controller" or "business" responsible for your personal information under applicable privacy laws. When this Policy says "UnBizzy," "we," "us" or "our," it means JCL Technologies LLC.
2. Scope
This Policy covers the UnBizzy app for iOS and Android, the unbizzy.com website, and the emails we send you.
The Service is offered only in the United States and is intended for adults aged 18 or older. It is not directed to children.
This Policy does not cover third-party services you choose to use through UnBizzy, such as grocery retailers' websites, delivery or reservation apps, or your sign-in provider. Their own privacy policies govern what they do with your information (see Section 7).
3. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: (a) you give it to us, (b) it is generated when you use the Service, and (c) in limited cases it is sent to us by a third party you have chosen to use (for example, a sign-in provider).
3.1 Account information
- Email address and password if you sign up with email. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and stored only in hashed form; we never see your plain-text password. We send a confirmation link to the address you enter, and you must confirm it before you can subscribe. Sign-up is protected by a bot-detection check run by Cloudflare Turnstile (Section 6.1).
- Sign-in provider identity if you use Sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook: an identity token, the provider's user ID for you, and the email address (or, for Apple, the private relay email you choose), name and profile-picture link the provider shares with us. We do not display the profile picture. For Sign in with Apple we also keep the token Apple issues so that we can revoke UnBizzy's access to your Apple ID when you delete your account.
- Anonymous account. When you begin onboarding, before you create credentials, the app creates an anonymous account so your answers are saved as you go. If you create credentials, the anonymous account is upgraded in place and keeps your answers. An anonymous account can use the free features of the app but cannot subscribe and cannot be recovered if you lose the device or uninstall the app. An anonymous account that never completed onboarding and has no email address is deleted automatically after 30 days.
3.2 Household profile (the onboarding answers)
To plan meals that suit your household you tell us:
- Household make-up: the number of people you cook for and, for each household member, a nickname you choose, an age band (for example "6–12 years"), and optionally a birth month and day (never a year). The app suggests using a nickname rather than a real name for anyone under 18.
- Food allergies and dietary information: whether anyone in the household has food allergies, the specific allergens and how you want them handled, dietary restrictions (for example vegetarian, kosher, gluten-free), dietary preferences and disliked ingredients. We ask you to acknowledge a separate allergen notice before you enter allergen information, and we record when you accepted it. See Sections 9 and 14.
- Cooking context: cooking skill, how much time you have to cook on weeknights and weekends, busy nights and an optional note about why, how adventurous you want the plan to be, breakfast and lunch style, and the kitchen equipment you have.
- Budget: your weekly grocery budget in US dollars.
- Shopping context: preferred stores, your main store, shopping day, store settings and pantry staples.
- Zip code (optional): the five-digit US zip code you may enter so we can see which stores and services are available near you. It is not used by the planner.
- Time zone: read automatically from your device so that reminders arrive at the right local time.
- Planning settings: the day your shopping week starts, planning reminders, notification preferences, and your onboarding progress. We keep a copy of your onboarding answers as you gave them.
3.3 Planning conversation, preferences and activity
- Chat messages. Your meal-planning conversation with the AI planner is stored (your messages and the planner's replies) so you can return to it and so the planner has context for your household. If you dictate a message, your device's speech recognizer turns it into text; only the text reaches us (Section 8).
- Meal plans and shopping lists the planner proposes and you edit, including which meals you marked cooked, swapped or blocked, standing requests, notes for the week, nights off and the delivery or reservation app you chose for them, and your reactions to recipes (including marking a kids' favourite).
- Preference suggestions. From your own activity in the app (swapping, blocking or cooking a dish) and, weekly, from your own chat history and week notes, the Service generates suggested preferences, busy-night limits and standing requests, such as "It looks like your household dislikes short ribs — add to dislikes?" Nothing is added to your profile unless you accept the suggestion. See Section 5.3.
- Reports. If you report a planner response in the app, we keep the response, the reason you chose and any note you add, and email the report to support@unbizzy.com.
3.4 Recipes you import, and your own recipe photos
- From a link. When you paste or share a recipe link, the app reads the page on your device and saves the recipe details it finds — title, ingredients, times, servings, the page's description and method, and a link to the page's own image — to your account together with the source link. The page's printed ingredient lines are sent to our server and to our AI provider to be read into a structured list (Section 5). The rest of the page content stays on your device; we record only the website's domain, for measuring which sites import well. The page's method and description are stored but not displayed; the app shows the source link so you can cook from the publisher's page.
- From a photo. When you import a recipe from a photo (taken with the camera or chosen from your photo library), the app removes the photo's embedded metadata (such as the time and location it was taken) on your device and sends the image to our AI provider to read the recipe. The photo itself is not stored on UnBizzy servers; only the extracted recipe text is saved to your account.
- Your own recipe photos. You can attach a photo to a recipe you typed in or imported. That photo, with its metadata removed, is kept on your device only, is included in your device's own backup if you use one, and is never uploaded to us. We record only a count of how many you have.
3.5 Subscription information
Your subscription status and tier, whether your entitlement is active or in a billing grace period, its expiry date, any free-trial end date, how many of your free link imports you have used, and the campaign information described in Section 3.6. Payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your card number or other payment credentials.
3.6 Device and technical information
- Push notification token (a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token) and the Firebase installation identifier, so that we can deliver reminders to your device. Collected only if you enable notifications. The token identifies a device, not a person, but because we store it against your account it is linked to you while your account exists.
- App version and build number.
- Install ID. A random identifier generated on your device when the app is installed. It is not derived from your device hardware or any advertising identifier, and it is cleared when you delete your account or reinstall the app.
- Install campaign information. On Android, the Google Play install referrer (the campaign values attached to the store link you tapped, such as source, medium and campaign name). On iOS, an Apple Ads attribution token that Apple resolves to the campaign, if any, that led to the install. These values are attached to your subscription record (Section 6.1) for the first account that signs in on the install, and are used only to measure which marketing brings people to UnBizzy. No advertising identifier is used and no app-tracking permission is requested.
- Crash and error diagnostics. If the app crashes or hits an error, a report with the device model, operating system version, app version and the technical error trace is sent to our crash-reporting provider (Section 6.1). Reports do not include your chats, recipes, lists or profile.
- Installed-app check. To offer a night-off hand-off, the app checks on your device whether certain delivery and reservation apps are installed. The check happens on the device; the result is not sent to us, other than the app you choose for a given night (Section 3.3).
3.7 Usage events
We record events about how the app is used — for example that a plan was generated, a recipe was imported, or an error occurred — with the event name, counts or categories, app version, build number and the install ID. Error events include technical error text. These events do not include the content of your chats, recipes or lists. We use them to understand product usage, to diagnose problems and to account for our AI-processing costs.
3.8 Website forms and links
- Waitlist. If you join the waitlist on unbizzy.com, we record your email address, the page you signed up from, any campaign tag in the link you followed, and any offer attached to it. We store a one-way hash of the address; the address itself is held by our email provider (Section 6.1). We email you a confirmation link, and you are not on the list until you click it. We use the list to tell you when UnBizzy launches and to send the occasional product update; every such email carries an unsubscribe link. To limit abuse of our sign-up forms, our server keeps a keyed hash of your IP address for up to two days. The IP address itself is not stored.
- Tester sign-up. If you ask to be a tester through unbizzy.com, we record the name, email address and platform you enter and email the request to ourselves so we can respond.
- Account deletion on the web. If you request deletion through https://unbizzy.com/delete-account.html, we record the email address you enter, the time of the request, a one-time confirmation token and the IP address from which the request was made (to detect abuse of the deletion flow). These records are deleted automatically 30 days after the request.
- Links. Short links on unbizzy.com (for example unbizzy.com/go/...) record the link used, the campaign token, the browser family, the referring site and the country of the visit; no IP address or full browser string is kept. Store links from our site carry a campaign token so that an install can be matched to the campaign (Section 3.6).
3.9 Emails we send, and support
We send emails about your account and subscription: sign-up confirmation, password reset, deletion confirmation, a welcome series when you subscribe, a notice before a free month ends, a reminder before an annual renewal, a billing-problem notice, and notices required by this Policy or the Terms. We may also send a check-in or product-update email; these carry an unsubscribe link, and we honour your choice through our email provider, which keeps a contact record for you (your address, the email topics you have opted out of, and whether you have unsubscribed). If you email support@unbizzy.com we keep the correspondence so we can help you.
3.10 Website cookies
The unbizzy.com website is a set of static pages with a few small server functions (the waitlist form, short links, and the app download page). It sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider's web analytics collects cookie-less, aggregate visit counts for the website with no cross-site tracking. The site does not respond differently to "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals because it does not sell or share personal information.
4. How we use your information
| Category | Purposes |
|---|---|
| Account information | Create and secure your account, sign you in, reset your password, send account emails, upgrade your anonymous account when you create credentials, and honour deletion requests. |
| Household profile | Generate meal plans and shopping lists that fit your household; screen suggested meals against the allergens and restrictions you entered; tailor the plan to your budget, time and equipment; schedule reminders in your time zone; use the zip code to see which stores and services are available near you. |
| Chat messages, meal plans, shopping lists, preferences, activity | Run the planner conversation, remember what your household likes and dislikes, build and update your shopping list, let you print or share it, pass list items to a grocery retailer's website or open a delivery or reservation app when you ask. |
| Preference suggestions | Suggest updates to your stated preferences for you to accept or dismiss. |
| Imported recipes | Add the recipe to your plans and shopping lists; match ingredients to our shared ingredient catalog. |
| Subscription information | Determine which features and usage limits apply to your account; send subscription emails. |
| Install campaign information | Measure which marketing campaigns lead to installs and subscriptions. |
| Push token, install ID, app version, diagnostics | Deliver notifications you have turned on; understand which app versions are in use; de-duplicate devices; find and fix crashes and errors. |
| Usage events | Product metrics; measuring and accounting for AI-processing spend; diagnosing errors. |
| Reports | Review the planner response you reported and improve the Service. |
| Website form records | Tell you when UnBizzy launches; verify and complete deletion requests; respond to tester requests; prevent abuse. |
| All categories, as needed | Provide customer support; keep the Service secure; comply with law; enforce our Terms; defend legal claims. |
We use your information only for the purposes described in this Policy. If we want to use it for a materially different purpose, we will tell you first and, where the law or app-store rules require, ask for your consent. We do not use your information to show you advertising.
5. AI processing
5.1 What the AI does
UnBizzy's meal planner, recipe imports, ingredient matching and preference suggestions are powered by Claude, a large language model operated by Anthropic, PBC ("Anthropic"), a US company. Our servers send a request to Anthropic's API and Anthropic returns the model's response.
5.2 Your consent is required first
Before any of your information is sent to Anthropic, the app shows you an AI disclosure and asks for your permission. Our servers refuse AI requests for accounts that have not accepted, and we record the date and time you accepted. You can re-read the disclosure at any time in Settings. AI features also require an active subscription, except for the free link imports described in the Terms of Service.
You may withdraw this consent at any time by emailing support@unbizzy.com. Because the planner cannot work without AI processing, withdrawing consent means the meal planner, recipe imports, ingredient matching and preference suggestions will stop working; your stored data remains available to you and you may delete your account at any time.
5.3 What is sent to Anthropic, and when
| Feature | Information sent to Anthropic |
|---|---|
| Meal-planning chat | Your household profile as needed for planning: household composition (nicknames and age bands), allergens and dietary restrictions and preferences, disliked ingredients, cooking context including busy nights and their notes, budget, store and planning answers, nights off; your recent chat messages and the planner's prior replies; your preferences, swaps, blocks, reactions, standing requests and week notes. Birthdays and zip code are not sent. |
| Recipe import from a link | The printed ingredient lines from the page, as read on your device. |
| Recipe import from a photo | The photo you took or selected, with its metadata removed (not stored by us afterwards). |
| Ingredient matching | Short ingredient names from your shopping list that our shared ingredient catalog does not yet recognise, with no link to your account. |
| Weekly preference suggestions | Your own recent chat messages, week notes and rejected dish titles for the period, so the model can propose candidate preferences, busy-night limits and standing requests for you to accept or dismiss. |
Nicknames and age bands are included because the planner uses them to suggest age-appropriate portions and meals.
5.4 Anthropic's terms
Our use of Anthropic's API is governed by Anthropic's commercial terms. Under those terms, as published by Anthropic, Anthropic does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models, retains them for a limited period before deletion (with exceptions for legal obligations and for content flagged by its safety systems), and may use them only to provide the API service to us and to enforce its usage policies. Anthropic's published terms and privacy documentation are at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/commercial-terms and https://privacy.claude.com.
If we add or switch to another AI provider for your information, we will update this Section before any of your information is sent there.
6. Who we share information with
6.1 Service providers and other recipients
We share personal information with the service providers and other recipients below. Each handles information under its own terms and privacy policy, which we review before using the provider.
| Recipient | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase, Inc. (database, authentication, serverless functions) | All account data described in Section 3, stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted in the United States (AWS us-east-1, Northern Virginia). Supabase's mailer sends authentication emails (sign-up confirmation, password reset) to your email address. | Our hosting, database and authentication platform. |
| Anthropic, PBC (AI model) | The information in Section 5.3, only after your consent. | Meal planning, recipe import, ingredient matching, preference suggestions. |
| Google LLC — Firebase Cloud Messaging | Your push-notification registration token, the Firebase installation identifier and the notification content (for example, "Time to start dinner" with the meal name). | Delivering push notifications you have turned on. |
| RevenueCat, Inc. (subscription management) | Your account ID (used as the RevenueCat app user ID), the subscription status, product and transaction information the App Store or Google Play reports for that ID, the install campaign information in Section 3.6, and the device and app information the RevenueCat SDK collects, as described in RevenueCat's privacy policy. | Recognising your subscription across platforms, keeping your entitlement current, and measuring which campaigns lead to subscriptions. |
| Apple Inc. (App Store) and Google LLC (Google Play) (billing) | Apple or Google processes your subscription payment and reports to us (through RevenueCat) your subscription status, product, renewal or expiry dates and a transaction identifier. On iOS, Apple resolves the Apple Ads attribution token. We do not receive your payment card details. | Subscription billing; install attribution. |
| Resend, Inc. (email) | Your email address, a contact record (email topics and unsubscribe state), the content of the emails we send you (Section 3.9), the waitlist and tester sign-up details in Section 3.8, and the reports you submit (Section 3.3), which are emailed to us. | Sending account, subscription, waitlist and product emails. |
| Sentry (crash reporting) | The crash and error diagnostics described in Section 3.6. | Finding and fixing crashes and errors. |
| Cloudflare, Inc. (website hosting and analytics) | Hosts unbizzy.com and its forms, and collects cookie-less, aggregate visit counts for the website. | Hosting and measuring the website. |
| Cloudflare, Inc. — Turnstile (bot detection at sign-up) | When you sign up in the app, the check processes device and interaction signals under the provider's privacy policy to tell people from automated scripts. | Protecting sign-up from automated abuse. |
| Apple Inc., Google LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc. (sign-in providers) | If you choose Sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook, the provider authenticates you and shares the identity information described in Section 3.1 with us. The provider learns that you signed in to UnBizzy. When you delete your account we ask Apple to revoke UnBizzy's access to your Apple ID. | Account sign-in. |
| Grocery retailers' websites | When you choose to shop from your list at a supported retailer, the app opens the retailer's website in an in-app browser window and uses your shopping-list item names to search for and populate a cart. From that point you are dealing with the retailer under its own terms and privacy policy, including anything you log in with or purchase. UnBizzy does not receive your retailer account details or order information. | Letting you order your groceries. |
| Delivery and reservation apps | When you choose one for a night off, the app opens that app on your device. Nothing is sent to it by us; what you do in it is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. | A hand-off for nights you are not cooking. |
| Your device's speech recognizer (Apple or Google) | If you dictate a chat message, the operating system's speech recognition converts the audio to text under Apple's or Google's terms. UnBizzy receives only the text. | Voice dictation. |
6.2 Other disclosures
We may also disclose information:
- At your direction — for example, when you share or print a shopping-list PDF, or share an invitation link, the content goes wherever you send it.
- For legal reasons — to comply with law, regulation, legal process or an enforceable governmental request; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, property or safety of UnBizzy, our users or the public.
- In a business transfer — if JCL Technologies LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you, and this Policy will continue to apply until you are told otherwise.
6.3 Sale and sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined in California and other state privacy laws. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. UnBizzy contains no advertising.
6.4 De-identified information
Usage events that remain after you delete your account are de-identified (Section 10). We maintain them in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify them.
7. Third-party services and links
The Service connects you to services we do not control: grocery retailers' websites in the in-app browser, delivery and reservation apps installed on your device, sign-in providers, and the recipe websites whose links you paste or open. Anything you do on those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies, not this one.
8. Device permissions
UnBizzy asks for the following permissions. Each is optional, and you can change them at any time in your device settings.
| Permission | Used for | If you decline |
|---|---|---|
| Microphone and speech recognition | Dictating a chat message to the planner instead of typing. Audio is processed by your device's operating system speech recognizer; UnBizzy receives only the text. | Type your messages instead. |
| Camera | Taking a photo of a recipe to import it, or a photo for one of your own recipes (kept on your device). | Paste a link or type the recipe. |
| Photo library | Choosing an existing photo or screenshot of a recipe to import, or a photo for one of your own recipes (kept on your device). | Paste a link or type the recipe. |
| Notifications | Dinner reminders, the morning brief and planning reminders. Each has its own toggle in Settings. Promotional notifications are sent only if you opt in separately. | You will not receive reminders; everything else works. |
The app does not request location, contacts or calendar permissions.
9. Sensitive information and consent
Food-allergy and dietary-restriction information can reveal information about health. We collect it only after you acknowledge the allergen notice in the app, use it only to provide the Service (screening and tailoring meal plans) and to send it to Anthropic for that purpose after your separate AI consent, and never for advertising. You can withdraw consent by removing the information in Settings or by deleting your account. See Section 14 for our Consumer Health Data notice.
10. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account exists, and then delete it as described below.
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account and household data, chat history, plans, lists, recipes, preferences, reactions, onboarding answers, email and notification records | Kept while your account is active, including after a subscription ends. Deleted when you delete your account (Section 11). |
| Anonymous accounts that never completed onboarding | Deleted automatically after 30 days (Section 3.1). |
| Web account-deletion request records (including IP address) | Deleted automatically 30 days after the request. |
| Waitlist entries | Kept until you ask us to remove you, or until the launch mailing is complete and the list is no longer needed. |
| Usage events | When you delete your account, the link to your account is removed; what remains is a de-identified event keyed only to a random install ID that is itself cleared from your device. |
| Push tokens and install ID | Deleted with your account; the install ID on the device is cleared on account deletion or reinstall. |
| Imported recipe photos | Not stored (Section 3.4). |
| Your own recipe photos | On your device only; deleted from that device when you remove them, delete the recipe or delete your account on that device, and otherwise subject to your device's own backup. |
| Data sent to Anthropic | See Section 5.4. |
| Crash reports | Kept by our crash-reporting provider for 90 days. |
| Subscription record at RevenueCat | Deleted when you delete your account. |
| Support emails, reports and tester sign-ups | Kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle the matter, then deleted. |
| Database backups | Our hosting provider keeps rolling backups for disaster recovery for a short, fixed period. Deleted data may persist in backups until they roll over. |
| Records we must keep by law or for our business records (for example, records of subscription transactions) | As long as the applicable law or our record-keeping obligations require. |
11. Deleting your account
You can delete your account and its data at any time, in two ways:
- In the app: Settings → Delete Account. Your authentication record and the account data described in Section 3 are removed from our database, your subscription record at RevenueCat is deleted, your own recipe photos on that device are deleted, local data is cleared from your device, and, if you used Sign in with Apple, we ask Apple to revoke UnBizzy's access.
- On the web, without the app: go to https://unbizzy.com/delete-account.html, enter your account email, and click the confirmation link we email you.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel through the App Store or Google Play first, or you may continue to be billed.
12. Children
The Service is intended for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, email support@unbizzy.com and we will delete it.
Household-member information (Section 3.2) is entered by the account holder about the people they cook for, is limited to a nickname, an age band, an optional birth month and day, and any allergens or dietary needs, and is used only to plan meals for your household. You can edit or remove a household member at any time in Settings.
13. Your choices and rights
We give the rights below to every UnBizzy user, regardless of which state you live in.
- Access / know: ask us what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correction: most of your information can be edited directly in the app. For anything else, ask us.
- Deletion: delete your account yourself in the app or on the web (Section 11), or ask us to delete specific information.
- Portability: ask us for a copy of your information in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Notifications: turn each reminder on or off in Settings, or turn off notifications for UnBizzy in your device settings. Promotional notifications are off unless you opt in.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any check-in or product-update email. Account and subscription emails continue while you have an account or subscription.
- Device permissions: revoke microphone, speech, camera or photo access at any time in your device settings.
- Withdraw AI consent: email support@unbizzy.com. As explained in Section 5.2, the planner, recipe imports, ingredient matching and preference suggestions will stop working until consent is given again.
- Withdraw allergen / dietary consent: remove allergen or dietary entries in Settings.
- Disconnect a sign-in provider: revoke UnBizzy's access in your Apple ID, Google Account or Facebook settings; you may then need to set a password to keep using your account.
- Opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising: we do not do these things, so there is no opt-out to exercise.
- No discrimination: we will not deny you the Service, charge you a different price or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
How to exercise a right. Email support@unbizzy.com from the address on your account, or use the in-app controls. We will verify your identity (usually by confirming control of the account email) and respond within 45 days, extendable once by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will tell you. You may use an authorised agent where your state's law permits; we will still need to verify your identity and the agent's authority. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our response with "Appeal" in the subject line; we will respond to appeals within 45 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
14. Consumer health data notice (Washington, Nevada, Connecticut and similar laws)
Some state laws treat information that can reveal a person's health status — which may include food allergies and certain dietary restrictions — as "consumer health data" that requires specific notices and opt-in consent. This Section serves as UnBizzy's Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and may also be published as a stand-alone page.
- Categories of consumer health data collected: whether any household member has food allergies; the specific allergens and how you want them handled; dietary restrictions and preferences that may relate to a health condition (for example gluten-free or low-sodium); disliked ingredients. Household members are identified only by the nickname and age band you enter.
- Sources: you, the account holder, entering the information in the app.
- Purposes: screening suggested meals and ingredients against the allergens and restrictions you entered; tailoring meal plans and shopping lists; generating the AI planner's suggestions. No other purpose.
- How it is collected and shared: collected only after you accept the allergen notice. Shared with Supabase (storage) and, after your separate AI consent, with Anthropic (planning). Not shared with anyone else, not sold, and not used for advertising.
- Consent: we ask for your opt-in consent before collecting it and, separately, before sending it to Anthropic. You may withdraw consent at any time by removing the information in Settings or deleting your account.
- Your rights: access, deletion, withdrawal of consent, a list of third parties with whom the data has been shared (above), and appeal, as described in Section 13.
- Contact: support@unbizzy.com.
15. California and other state-specific notices
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). In the last 12 months we collected the categories of personal information described in Section 3 — identifiers (email, name, install ID, push token, IP address on deletion requests), customer records (household profile, subscription status), commercial information (subscription and plan activity, install campaign information), internet or electronic activity (usage events, crash diagnostics, website link clicks), approximate geolocation (optional zip code), inferences (preference suggestions you accept), and sensitive personal information (health-related allergen and dietary data; account credentials) — from the sources and for the purposes in Sections 3 and 4, and disclosed them to the service providers in Section 6 for business purposes. We do not sell or share personal information, have not done so in the past 12 months, and have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing information of consumers under 16. We use sensitive personal information only to provide the Service, so no "Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information" option is required, but you may remove it at any time. You have the rights to know, delete, correct, port, and not be discriminated against, exercisable as described in Section 13. Retention periods are in Section 10. California's "Shine the Light" law: we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Delaware, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Maryland, Rhode Island, Nebraska and other states with comprehensive privacy laws. You have the rights listed in Section 13, including to appeal our decision. We do not process personal data for targeted advertising, sale, or profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Nevada. We do not sell covered information. Our consumer health data notice is in Section 14.
16. Where your data is processed; US-only Service
The Service is offered only to people in the United States, and our providers process data in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
17. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) between the app, our servers and our service providers; database row-level security, so that each account can read and write only its own rows; server-side enforcement of your AI consent, your subscription entitlement and usage limits; bot detection at sign-up; and no handling of payment-card data, which stays with Apple and Google. Security researchers can reach us at security@unbizzy.com.
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulators as required by applicable law.
18. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make a material change — for example, adding a new category of data, a new third-party recipient, or a new use — we will notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect and, where required by law or app-store rules, ask for your consent. The effective date at the top shows when the current version took effect. Previous versions are available on request.
