Print the grocery list, or send it to whoever's shopping

Tap the printer icon at the top of the List or Calendar tab. Pick The pad, Menu card or The list, then tap Print it, or Send a picture to send it in a message.

Steps

  1. Tap the printer icon at the top of List or Calendar. The sheet that opens says Stick it on the fridge.
  2. Pick what you want:
    • The pad: the week's menu and the grocery list together, as one sheet. It's the one picked for you.
    • Menu card: the week's dinners on their own, for the fridge.
    • The list: just the grocery list, sorted by store and aisle, with a box beside each item.
  3. Choose which stores to include, or tap Select all or Clear all. The menu card has no grocery list, so it skips this.
  4. Tap Print it to open your phone's print screen. Or tap Send a picture to send it as a picture, by text, email or any app on your phone.

To save or send it as a PDF

  • On an iPhone: tap Print it, then the share button at the top of the print screen.
  • On Android: tap Print it, then choose Save as PDF as the printer.

Good to know

  • Whoever's shopping doesn't need the app.
  • The paper shows what to buy, and nothing else from the app. Things you already have print grayed out.
  • The same week prints the same paper from the Calendar or the grocery list.
  • On the Calendar, the printer works once the week has a plan.
  • Printing keeps working without a subscription.
